Too idealistic? Not the six virtues.

I read Rafe Esquith’s book, Teach Like Your Hair is On Fire. He is a gifted, dedicated, hard-working teacher. I am glad he shared inspiring stories about his students’ achievements. He shows us what public education can become, for even our most disadvantaged children.

It is inspiring to hear about Rafe’s work. But, of course, few teachers will ever be as dedicated, creative, and generous as he. Still, it is good to see examples of what could happen if more were like him.
